With Valentine's Day on the way, I am putting together a top 10 featuring a pair of characters from Anime and Super Sentai that has warmed our hearts, made us laugh or left us heartbroken. I have gathered five couples from Anime and five from the Super Sentai to put this top 10 together and here they are:
10. Super Sentai: Ryu Tendo (Red Hawk) x Kaori Rokumeikan (White Swan) (Choujin Sentai Jetman): I always thought Ryu would never love again after losing his girlfriend to Count Radiguet, but that all changed when he met Kaori. But even though Yuki Gai had interest in her, Kaori was more interest in Ryu. After the war, Ryu and Kaori finally wed and had a child named after the late Yuki Gai.
9. Anime: Maka Albarn x Soul "Eater" Evans (Soul Eater): Maka ignores the facts that her father disagrees with her relationship with Soul. Maybe it's because her father, Spirit, cheated on his wife with so many women and Maka being the key witness when she was little. Soul also said he had a sworn duty to protect her at all costs. Plus fans were a little disappointed that Maka almost kissed Soul when he lost consciousness during the battle with Asura but the writers possibly made it up to them by having Maka save Soul's life by hugging him... butt naked. Now there's a sign of their relationship right there.
8. Anime: Naruto x Hinata Hyuga (Naruto): From childhood to adulthood, Naruto and Hinata always loved each other. They also do get married and end up having many children including the main character in the new series, "Boruto".
7. Super Sentai: Hikaru (MagiShine) x Urara Ozu (MagiBlue) (Mahou Sentai Magiranger): Hikaru and Urara are a canon pairing, and their developing relationship can be seen from the moment Hikau appears in the series. At the end of Stage Twenty, Kiss Me, Kero, Hikaru tells the Ozu siblings that he will be living with them and acting as their teacher in magic.
6. Super Sentai: Chiaki (ShinkenGreen) x Kotoha (ShinkenYellow) (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger): Kotoha and Chiaki are the youngest Shinkengers, with Kotoha stated being younger than Chiaki. Because their similar age, they have a strong bond. In fact, several episodes focus on their relationship.
5. Anime: Yoshika Miyafuji x Lynette Bishop (Strike Witches): They became inseperatable ever since Yoshika joined the 501st and they basically do everything together. They cook together, they fight together, the cleaning, the bathing and even sleep together. Plus, whenever a Neuroi, or anyone, does any harm to Lynne, FEEL THE WRATH OF YOSHIKA MIYAFUJI!!!! Sorry, went overboard. Also, when Yoshika was in trouble, Lynne is always there for her.
4. Anime: Jack Atlas x Carly Carmine (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's): They have dueled together against Turdge at the hospital and Carly took Jack to her appartment to help him heel. But when she became a Dark Signer, she was forced to duel the love of her life. When Jack finally reached out to her, she, once again, became possesed under the Earthbound Immortals control. Unfortunately, for them, her love for Jack was too strong to keep her evil by sacrificing herself to save Jack. Now that's true love right there.

Super Sentai: Sakuya Hikawa (Patren NiGou) x Umika Hayami (LupinYellow) (Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patoranger): The “Romeo and Juliet” of romance that features these two who are actually on different ranger teams. Sakuya being a cop and Umika being a phantom thief. Love birds as civilians but enemies as rangers. Their romance was going well until the day Sakuya became heartbroken when Umika revealed herself as LupinYellow. He does discover why she's doing this and wished Umika came to him instead of becoming a Phantom Thief. After a year inside Dogranio's safe. They were reunited and their relationship will never die even if their rivalry continued.
2. Super Sentai: Satoru Akashi (BoukenRed) x Sakura Nishihori (BoukenPink) (Gogo Sentai Boukenger): From the very first episode, Sakura and Satoru have a close but professional relationship. Sakura never hesitates to follow any of Satoru's orders, but there is a feeling of ease to their interactions that keeps it from feeling rigid.
1: Anime: Ash Ketchum x Serena (Pokemon XY): Lovers before the series began. Undoubtedly, the best relation Ash ever had with any of his female companions. Serena throughout the XY Series showed her affection and love towards Ash. ... Ash and Serena has touched the heart of all the pokemon fan. The biggest delight for any pokemon fan will be Ash and Serena to be on a journey together again. Oh yeah, it was definately a mouth-to-mouth kiss and that's why they never showed it.
Now until the end of Valentine's Day, if you have any couples from the anime or Super Sentai series out there, let me know and I will post them on February 14th. It doen't have to be a boy and girl together as you have noticed with Yoshika and Lynette or from the same team like Sakuya and Umika but they must be from the same series and give specific details on their relationship as well.
